Method for enzymatic stabilisation
A Spanish public research organisation has developed a novel method for enzyme stabilisation that leads to biocatalysts with longer lifetime for being used at industrial level. The method consists on the coating the enzyme surface with a polymeric layer of hydrophilic nature and high viscosity. It can be applied to a variety of enzymes that can be immobilised or not.
