We invite academic and non-academic staff to participate in the LETSGROW online training “Data Stewardship and Research Data Management”, which will take place on October 19, 9.00-12.00 CET. The training will be delivered by lecturer Natalia Galica (University of Silesia in Katowice). The training is intended for universities academic, researchers and non academic staff. The training will be held in English, via MS TEAMS, and information about the training room will be provided to registered participants 2–3 days before the event.
The training will provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to Open Science and Research Data Management in the European research landscape. It will combine key concepts with practical guidance on managing, sharing, preserving, and publishing research data in line with legal and ethical reqiurement, FAIR and CARE principles, and good data stewardship practices. Participants will learn about trusted research data repositories, Data Management Plans (DMP), and the role of data stewards in supporting effective and responsible research data management throughout the research lifecycle. The webinar will also introduce the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) as the European data space for science, highlighting its role in enabling access to research data, services, tools, and infrastructures across Europe. The programme will follow Central European Time (CET).
